Books within the walls

The cultural center A Passo d’Uomo, in collaboration with Paola Bellini, author and art historian, is pleased to present Libri tra le mura, a festival of small independent and digital national publishing, having as its location the prestigious setting of the Palazzo Ducale in Sabbioneta, a UNESCO heritage city since 2008 together with Mantua.

The event will be held on Saturday 7 September and Sunday 8 September 2024, starting at 10:00 and has a very rich program of events, for all ages and literary tastes. Admission is free, as is participation in the events that will enliven the festival.

The festival will feature twenty-six exhibitors, among the most important exponents of small publishing and Italian self-publishing, Rossella Abortivi (writer and poet), Storiedichi Edizioni (publishing house specializing in illustrated books), Norma Tarditi (fantasy romance author), Laura Usai (writer of children's fiction, historical fiction, fantasy, mystery), Giada Padovani (fantasy author), Simona Carlini Cortesi (writer and painter), Blueberry Edizioni (romance and fantasy publishing house), Stella Mattutina Edizioni (publishing house specializing in spirituality), Gabriele Fallini (non-fiction author and researcher), Virginio Cremona Editore (publishing house open to all genres; publishes books in Braille, in formats for the visually impaired and audiobooks), Scrittrici Esaurite (a collective of authors with strong personalities), Essebi Servizi Editoriali (editing, proofreading and support for writers), Caterina Amatulli (author of dark romance), Simona Paolella (psychologist and psychotherapist, deals with illustrated books), Terranuova Edizioni (a leading publishing house in independent publishing), Barbara Pagliarani (writer and artist, in her books she talks about spirituality and personal growth), PAV Edizioni (a Roman publishing house, varied and dynamic), Fuoco Fuochino (publishing house for original and cutting-edge stories), Oltre i confini - viaggiare strano (travel literature), Del Faro Edizioni (publishing house from Trentino, publishes fiction), Associazione Il Gabbiano (writers dedicated to self-publishing), Cyrano Factory Comics (Verona comics association), Gilgamesh Edizioni (Mantua publishing house of fiction and poetry), Giulia Chiari (a very young fantasy writer), Il Rio Edizioni (publishing house of fiction and art), Edizioni A Passo d’Uomo (historical reality from Sabbioneta, publishes mainly non-fiction, biographies, memoirs).

Special guests: Massimo Bondioli, Ezio Settembri, Mauro Ferrari, Alex Romanello and Giacomo Morselli, Laura Righi, Emily Pigozzi, Pralboino Music Band.

The event is organized under the patronage of the Municipality of Sabbioneta, in collaboration with the Pro Loco association and the Sabbioneta Heritage Foundation.
