Juergen Teller Brings His Art to Sabbioneta with the Exhibition "7 1/2"

The Sabbioneta Heritage Foundation is pleased to announce an unmissable event for contemporary art enthusiasts. From April 13 to November 23, 2025, the Galleria degli Antichi and the Sala degli Specchi at Palazzo Giardino will host "7 1/2," a solo exhibition by renowned photographer Juergen Teller.

Curated by Mario Codognato, the exhibition is the artist’s most personal project to date, highlighting the recent years of his creative journey. Teller, celebrated for his distinctive and unconventional style, has revolutionized fashion photography and profoundly influenced contemporary visual culture. "7 1/2" explores his recent artistic evolution, enriched by his creative and personal partnership with his wife, Dovile Drizyte. Their collaboration has shaped a deeply expressive body of work, revealing an intimate and introspective approach.

The exhibition layout, conceived by Teller and Codognato and designed by Federico Fedel, seamlessly integrates into the majestic setting of Palazzo Giardino. The Galleria degli Antichi, with its impressive 97-meter length, and the evocative Sala degli Specchi provide an ideal backdrop for a compelling dialogue between contemporary photography and Sabbioneta’s Renaissance architecture.

Accompanied by a bilingual catalog published by Marsilio, the exhibition is organized under the patronage of the Municipality of Sabbioneta, with the support of Regione Lombardia, Fondazione Banca Agricola Mantovana, and Fondazione della Comunità Mantovana, along with several private sponsors.
